Fast Facts
We Are Catholic!
Byzantine Catholics are one of over 20 particular communities
that form the Catholic Church.
We are in full communion with the Pope of Rome.
Visiting Roman Catholics (and other Eastern Catholics)
can participate here as they would at their home parishes.
Our Art Helps Us Worship!
We use sacred images to help us pray (not as idols).
Stories of Christ, Mary, and the Saints are told in
stained glass windows, icons, and our mosaic,
which is one of the largest of its kind in the US.
We've Been Here Over 115 Years!
This parish was founded in 1907 during the mass migration of Eastern Europeans to work in the steel factories and coal mines. Our original church was on Atwood St.,
and this church was built in the early 1960s.
